QRV

QRV is coming to Android.

The ham radio multitool — band conditions, live spots, callsign lookup, band plans, and a shack full of references — now running natively on Android. It's in closed testing right now, and you can get in.

This is a beta, so expect some rough edges.

The Android app is currently a work-in-progress. Things might look unpolished, some features aren't there yet, and I'll be updating a lot. If that sounds like fun, you're exactly who I'm looking for.

Subscriptions are wired up now, but every tester gets Premium unlocked for free during the beta — nothing to buy. In exchange, tell me what breaks.

How to Join

1

Join the tester group

Google Play only lets people in the tester group see the app, so do this first. Join the QRV Android tester group with the Google account you use on your phone's Play Store.

Join the tester group →

The account matters. If you join with one Google account and your phone's Play Store is signed into another, the app won't show up.

2

Opt in to the test

Once you're in the group, open the opt-in link and accept the invitation. Play will confirm with "You are a tester."

Become a tester →

Do this on the same Google account from step 1.

3

Install QRV from Google Play

The opt-in confirmation page links straight to the store listing. Install it like any other app.

Open in Google Play →

Seeing "item not found"? Give it a few hours. Play's opt-in page and the Play Store app read different caches — force-stopping the Play Store usually helps.
